TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103 Pay Information $1,894 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active NC or Compact license Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: - Experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips - Familiarity with telemetry, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias - IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management - Experience with heparin protocols, CVA, chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy management, isolation precautions - Ability to float to sister units as needed Job Description: - Work in an ICU stepdown unit, handling post-rapid response team patients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, and withdrawal - Manage patients with GI bleeds, post-op situations including GYN, GU, GI, thoracotomies, neuro, ortho surgeries, and complicated pre/post OB cases - Handle patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric age groups - Administer specific drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Neo drips - Use bedside telemetry monitors, recognize and treat dysrhythmias; A-lines, BIPAPs, chest tubes, trach management present - Mandatory orientation and EKG testing prior to start; orientation to occur in the first week without any leave - Work every other weekend - No block scheduling allowed This opportunity is suitable for first-time travelers and locals, with potential rate differences for locals.
