Job Description:

Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) is seeking a client-facing IT Business Analyst to join our team on a 10+ month contract in Thomasville, NC. This role is 100% onsite and will require

strong analytical skills, business process knowledge, and excellent communication to collaborate

with stakeholders and IT teams.



Key Responsibilities:

Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to gather, document, and

analyse requirements.

Work closely with end users, developers, and project managers to translate business

needs into functional specifications.

Conduct business process analysis and identify areas for improvement in existing IT

systems and workflows.

Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and process

mapping workshops.

Develop use cases, user stories, workflow diagrams, and functional documentation to

support system changes.

Collaborate with QA teams to validate system functionality and assist in user

acceptance testing (UAT).

Support project implementation, system rollouts, and end-user training as needed.
Ensure that IT solutions align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure

project success.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in a client-facing role.
Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, requirement gathering, and

process mapping.

Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and working with

development teams.

Proficiency in creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and workflow diagrams.
Ability to facilitate meetings, elicit requirements, and document business processes

clearly.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with

both business and technical teams.

Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar project management

and documentation tools.

Must be able to work 100% onsite in Thomasville, NC for the full contract duration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the transportation, logistics, or freight industry is a plus.
Familiarity with ERP systems, CRM platforms, or reporting tools.
