Position Overview:
Performs a wide variety of inspections in the Carshell welding area
to ensure train coaches are built to specifications. Follows
general inspection guidelines to conduct routine visual CWI,
dimensional, and mechanical inspections on a wide variety of welded
and machined components and assemblies. Utilizes one or more
non-destructive testing techniques to verify welding meets
specifications.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently
required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms,
climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must
regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift
and/or move 40 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required
by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust
focus.

hourly rate range for this position in Lexington, NC is $26.00 -
$36.80. The hourly rate may be higher or lower depending on the
budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and
qualifications.
