Job Description:

Accentuate Staffing is assisting a biotech company in the Durham area recruit a Lab Coordinator to join their team. This is a 12 month contract opportunity working 1st shift.

Responsibilities:

Maintain daily operations of laboratory spaces, including removal of various waste types (biohazardous, chemical, recycling), washing lab parts, autoclaving, restocking supplies, and performing routine equipment maintenance.
Manage upkeep of the warehouse, including inventory control tasks such as logging inventory additions and consumptions, conducting cycle counts, and handling incoming and outgoing shipments.
Break down shipping materials, manage warehouse cleanliness, and coordinate proper waste disposal.
Coordinate with vendors for laboratory equipment services such as preventative maintenance, calibrations, and repairs.
Support laboratory staff with in-lab operational needs, ensuring a smooth and efficient research environment.

Requirements:

Proven experience in lab operations, facilities support, or a related role in a scientific environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to lift and move boxes and equipment as part of daily duties.
Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and handling of biohazardous/chemical waste is preferred.
Comfortable working in a collaborative and fast-paced research setting.
