TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103 Pay Information $1,894 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week, with special considerations for 48 hours Experience: 2 years minimum (1.5 years acceptable with strong experience) License: Active nursing license required before start date Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: IV Start and Telemetry skills Job Description: - Responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to surgery patients, including those undergoing colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, and orthopedics/spine procedures. - Adhere to patient ratios of 1:6. - Engage in occasional floating requirements to similar units. - Participate in every other weekend shifts as needed. - Complete unit orientation, which consists of 36 hours. - Utilize tools such as Pyxis, SBAR, and Epic for seamless care delivery. - Participate in self-scheduling with input from the nursing manager based on unit needs. - Wear navy blue or white scrubs. - Successfully pass EKG testing prior to commencing duties in this specialty. - Comply with the facility's fatigue policy, limiting work to no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours a week. - Required modules must be completed pre-start and annually through online learning, webinars, and in-person classes. Please note: COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
