qualified Med/Surg RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103 Pay
Information $1,894 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Job Specialty: MS/Tele Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not
specified Experience: Minimum 1 year required; Unit will accept
first-time travelers License: NC or Compact license is needed at
the time of the start Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS and NIH
preferred Must-Have: Skills in Telemetry, Interpretation of
dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias Job Description: - Provide
care to renal and limb preservation patients, including ESRD, ARF,
vascular procedures, CHF, diabetics, and diabetic foot ulcer
patients. - Work on a 41-bed inpatient unit with telemetry
capability, focusing on renal and limb preservation. - Administer
hemodialysis in the hemodialysis unit and assist with peritoneal
dialysis treatments on the unit. - Collaborate with an
interdisciplinary team, including hospitalists, RN navigators, RNs,
NAs, receptionists, dietary staff, PT/OT, and pharmacy. -
Participate in daily team meetings to ensure the best care for
patients. - Utilize unit systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR. -
Engage in self-scheduling according to unit needs. - Complete 24
hours of orientation (2 shifts with a preceptor plus EMR
education). - Adhere to a float requirement and work every other
weekend. - Wear navy or white scrubs, which are not provided. -
Pass EKG testing before starting the specialty. - Comply with the
requirement for a flu vaccine, with exceptions for medical or
religious reasons. - Be prepared to float within the hospital or to
an affiliate hospital nearby, as needed. - Acknowledge the fatigue
policy, which restricts working more than 5 days consecutively or
more than 60 hours in a week. - Complete non-billable modules
pre-start and annually, with hours varying by specialty. - Maintain
flexibility for working during holidays, with a requirement to work
2 out of 3 major holidays. Important Notes: Candidates need to
complete references at the time of start. Two manager/supervisor
references from the past 12 months are highly preferred. First week
of traveler's assignment will have no RTO allowed due to
